Making a smoky is not necessarily easy for everyone. This can be more complicated when you put on a particular effect. The trend of the moment? The wet look or smoky eyes wet effect.

The idea: "pimper" the classic smoky eye with a glossy touch. The look is brighter, the makeup more eye-catching. Elsa Durrens, make-up artist Chanel, gives us her tips for making her wet-effect eye makeup at home, detailing two possibilities: the smoky eyes with a gloss finish or the long-wearing metallic eye shadow.

A wet eyelid thanks to the gloss

To make a smoky eyes wet effect, divert your gloss to apply on the eyelid. Elsa Durrens advises to choose tinted or transparent: "If it is pearly, the wet effect will be even stronger". We therefore prefer a gloss soaked in mother of pearl, while avoiding choosing a too sticky texture.

For your smoky eyes, first intensify the root of your eyelashes with a dark, brown or black pencil. If you have green eyes , bet on brown, if you have blue eyes , prefer black.

At the inner corner of the eye, as well as in the center of the lower eyelid, while remaining close to the eyelashes, deposit a touch of gloss. To prevent your gloss from spinning, powder the eyelid to the brow bone. You can of course use an eyeshadow to color your smoky eyes, but for fixing, use a translucent powder .

Finally, to intensify your smoky eye, hem your lashes with ultra black mascara . Be careful, do not choose a waterproof mascara, "the gloss would melt it," warns Elsa Durrens. Finally, for an even more intense result, Elsa Durrens advises to apply a kohl pencil inside the eye.

To retouch your smoky eyes wet effect in the day, smooth the gloss that has spun, wipe the upper part of the eyelid, repoud it and then add a tip of gloss to the initial locations.

Metallic eyeshadow for a smoky long-lasting wet effect

This second technique of achieving the smoky eye makes it possible to maintain a more intense make-up longer. For this, you need a shiny metallic eye shadow that will contribute to the wet effect of the smoky eye. To begin, apply a base on your eyelid to better fix the makeup.

Then apply a shade of darker "halo more or less stretched around the eye insisting flush with the eyelashes," says Elsa Durrens.

Then, skate your eye shadow on the eyelid, brush or fade (with the finger). Deposit liberally to the inside corner of the eye, and a touch in the middle of the lower eyelid: "insist on the center of the eyelid, the resulting shine will give a wet effect." Stay close to the lashes as much as possible.

Finally, finish with an ultra black mascara and a kohl pencil for intense makeup.

To revive the shine during the day, add a simple layer of metallic eyeshadow, emphasizing the center of the eyelid, to create a volume and shine wet effect.
